If you don't already know, my name is Sean Taormina, I'm a Journalism student at Wayne State University in Detroit, and this is a blog for documenting and sharing my  experiences, photos, research, and writing.

Ideally, I'd like to use this blog as a way to show off projects I'm working on; projects, that I hope will interest you as much as they interest me.

As far as journalism goes, my focus is on Detroit (where I currently live), and foreign policy and politics (my first and truest love). I try to live by the credo that good journalism "comforts the afflicted and afflicts the comfortable." So if something I write, or one of my photographs, makes you feel uncomfortable—well then, I guess that's good.
